John Esposito, LMHC / NCC
John is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in New York and a National Certified Counselor who graduated in 2018 from the University of Scranton with a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. John has worked in a variety of settings, including hospitals and employee assistance programs. John has experience providing individual and group therapy with diverse clients from various backgrounds with a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, schizophrenia, family conflict, substance use, HIV, paranoia, low self-esteem, suicidal ideation, and relationship issues. John utilizes a warm, non-directive, strengths-based, person-centered approach, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, mindfulness and motivational interviewing techniques when providing counseling with the goal of helping clients improve their quality of life. John aims to provide a safe, comfortable, non-judgmental, trusting environment for clients to discuss their current life challenges and concerns with the belief that the client has the desire and strengths to make positive choices that result in change.
