Hi, I’m Hunter McCain. After earning my MSW from Florida State University and gaining experience in an Intensive Outpatient community health program and a Psychiatric Behavioral Health Inpatient unit, I realized my passion for helping individuals suffering from serious mental illnesses. In my practice, I focus on building trusting and patient-centered relationships using a problem-solving approach. I integrate dialectical behavioral therapy, interpersonal psychotherapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy to tailor treatment to each person’s needs. My areas of expertise include anxiety, depression, PTSD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, and personality disorders. I believe that a holistic partnership between psychiatry, psychotherapy, nutrition, and exercise is key to helping patients overcome negative beliefs, learn to live with serious mental illnesses, and achieve their personal goals.
