Community Health Worker

Hi, I’m Jonathan O’Rourke. I am a community health worker for Amae Health. I graduated from the University of New Mexico with my BSc. in Biology and Chemistry with minors in applied mathematics and religious studies. I am excited to serve NYC in getting members registered in our program. I am working on my master’s of science in project management and expect to graduate May of ‘25. I have professional experience working as a certified clinical medical assistant, and conducting translational research with drosophila melanogaster as a model organism for neurological genetic disease. Beyond my clinical and research roles I have served my university as the vice president of the premedical society. While in this role I supported first generation and immigrant college students, organized workshops, and collaborated with faculty and university leadership to ensure that students were receiving and gaining access to resources they needed. In my spare time I play guitar and piano, and travel with my wife. I am always up for an adventure around NYC and beyond. I love a good bagel, cup of coffee, and conversation about anything.
