Hi, I’m Dr. Miguel Serrano, and my passion lies in whole-person care and measurable outcomes in mental health. I earned my PhD in Neuroscience from Loma Linda University School of Medicine before continuing my medical education at the same institution. Currently, I am completing my adult psychiatry training at the UCLA/VA program, where I also serve as the Chief Resident of Research and Education. My approach to psychiatry is deeply rooted in evidence-based practices, and I find immense fulfillment in seeing tangible improvements in my clients (apologies in advance for all the questionnaires!). When I’m not immersed in research and clinical care, you can find me hiking, playing basketball, or enjoying an arguably excessive amount of peanut butter—though not always at the same time.
