Hi, I’m Yvonne, a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) and I graduated from Fordham University with a focus on clinical social work. I’m passionate about working with individuals who consider themselves first-generation immigrants/third-culture, and those who are experiencing depression, anxiety, and relationship issues. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working in various settings, including inpatient psychiatric hospitals, crisis hotlines, child welfare, and private practice. I truly believe that building a strong therapeutic relationship is key to creating a space where you can feel empowered and take the driver’s seat in your mental health journey. My goal is to support you every step of the way as we work together toward improving your well-being. Before entering the world of mental health, I spent time in the theatre - with experience as a stage manager and director before landing in the industry working as a teaching artist to elementary school students across schools in the Upper East Side and Park Slope. I aspire to weave my previous theatre experience into my current practice, whether that be via drama therapy or psychodrama. While I’m not at Amae, I like to spend my free time exploring new restaurants with my friends, expressing my creativity with any sort of arts and crafts, and taking care of my physical health with hot yoga or Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.”
